WTF is RSS?

Seriously, WTF is an RSS feed?

Feeds are a different way for websites to distribute their content to visitors. Feeds permit subscription to website updates, delivered automatically via an RSS reader. An RSS reader is just a program designed for this purpose. So, when AtomShark publishes a new article, you will see it appear in your RSS reader automatically. Rather than checking our website for updates, you simply receive new articles as we publish them.

How Do I Read Feeds?

If you want to browse and subscribe to feeds, you need an RSS reader. This is a small application which manages your subscriptions and receives new articles as they are published. A typical interface for a feed reader will display your feeds and the number of new (unread) entries within each of those feeds. You can also organize your feeds into categories and even clip and save your favorite entries.

If you're just starting out, I highly recommend Google's Feed Reader. If you already have a Gmail account, you just login to the reader and you're ready to go - no downloading or installing anything.

Fine, How Do I Subscribe to AtomShark's Feed?

Your RSS reader will prompt you for the URL of the feed you want to subscribe to.

Our feed URL is:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/atomshark
